My true love and me...
Got locked out of the house without keys
Yes, that is right..
Our family got locked out of the house..
And locked the car keys in the house too..
That takes talent, people..
I had two choices..
I could join the chorus of crying that was going on..
Or
Try to make the most of the situation..
So even though joining in with the screams was tempting..
I didn't
I could have taken something that was meant for good,
The 25 days of Christmas..
And made it very, very bad
Complaining the whole time
But you know the weird thing...
A couple years ago there would have been no question about what I would have done..
I would have complained..
And made us all miserable..
I struggle with forgiving..
I struggle with negativity..
And it's only by God's grace
That I am slowly overcoming these things..
That's the beauty of Christmas..
A Saviour came..
To take what was..
darkness, negativity
And give us new life..
New beginnings..
Freedom..
From what we once were.
So in trying to teach my Children about the true meaning of Christmas..
I was reminded of what it really was..
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.
Ephesians 1:10-14
I also struggle with being negative. Im working on it as well. Boy is it hard!
