Day 13: Something you would like to change about yourself for the better.

Aria is (almost) fearless..

She is the one who tries to drive her tricycle down the stairs...

Not Gibby,

even though I am pretty sure she is the test pilot

to see if these things are dangerous..

and then he jumps on the bandwagon if it is safe..

which usually it isn't.

She is the one who believes..

that you really can be a Princess and an Astronaut..

as a career choice...

but yet she is afraid of the dark..

Afraid that she just might get sucked down the bathtub drain..

I remember when I was like that..

When I thought anything was possible..

Then you grow up

and reality sets in..

It tells you the dark is nothing to be afraid of..

but it also tells you dreams are out of reach..

And fears become more realistic

fear of failure..

rejection..

I want to get back to Ari's kind of

fearless..

I want to get back that attitude of

"it is possible"

That's what I want to change..

the fear that stops me from trying..

The fear that makes me OVER THINK..

every decision.

The fear that makes dreams out of reach..

UPDATE: Court said something that really describes what I want to be like..

Faith filled instead of fearful..

Little man of many talents

Gibson has decided that in addition to becoming a rockstar..

He also would like to be a "picture taker"

(Which I think is a quite wise for a 3 year old
to realize the career of a rockstar can be unstable..)

So the other day he wanted to practice his skills..

Aria wasn't in the mood to model..

So I was the lucky girl..
Yay...

Sometimes I get focused on the wrong things..

I start to get frustrated and ungrateful..

These pictures, although, they are blurry..

Put things into perspective..

I am blessed..

No matter what my emotion of the day may try to tell me..

I am blessed.

The problem with digital cameras is....

There is no mystery.

Gone are the days when opening up your pictures at Walmart was a magical time.

You didn't know what the pictures turned out like.

You could only hope that when you took that picture of the Eiffel tower that it came out and it wasn't just a picture of your thumb.

Gone are the days of "hmm what is going on in this picture?"

It is a shame really.

Luckily Court and I are still random picture takers.

So above is my random picture of the day.(it was taken last fall, see little itty bitty Aria?)

I do need to make one little amendment to this post.

Not all the mystery is taken out of picking up your pictures.

If you are given the wrong package at Walmart there is plenty of mystery and surprise.

This happened to me once and instead of my senior prom pictures I discovered a woman giving birth.

That is right I said "giving".

Not cute newborn after they cleaned them up, or new mommy and daddy posing with the baby.

No "giving" birth.

Birth is a wonderful miracle........... I just do not need to see a stranger giving birth.

I will stop there

Look at my little girl go..

She is so adorable when she walks..

Yes that did cause some mess.

And yes she is worth every mess I have to clean up.

Back in the day...

'I love "The Office" and am not ashamed to admit that I cried during the preview for this weeks episode. (ok a tad bit ashamed). You can watch it here...

Court and I were friends awhile before we dated... then we dated awhile before anyone really knew.. then we got engaged and married quickly, go figure. But Court says that he knew he loved me a long time before he asked me out.

He knew we would end up together.

On a study trip to Paris he said he never even took his camera out of his bag because I was taking pictures and he knew we would end up getting married and he would have all the pictures he wanted from that trip... (Ok tearing up again but at lest this one is over real life.)

I am a pretty blessed girl.

So in honor of my reminiscing post I added a picture of Court and me a few days after we got engaged. We both look so young and I look a little bit like a frightened Chihuahua, so excuse that please.
