Day 3: Someone who inspires Beauty..

We had a joke in our house growing up..

If you sit still long enough

Mom will paint on you..

(OK, it isn't really a ha ha joke)

(more of a hardy har har)

My mom is an artist

and she can paint anything..

And even though everything she makes is beautiful..

It's the fact that she can see..

a beat up dresser..

an abused table..

And see what it can be..

Something beautiful..

it makes what she paints even more special.

It's a wonderful ability..

to be able to look past a awful exterior..

and see beauty.

What could be..

if someone took the time..

To take care of it..

To love it..

To think it is worth the effort..

Thanks Mom for inspiring me to see Beauty is not always on the surface..

Sometimes you have to fight for it.
