So umm.. why do you blog..

I have written this post only about a thousand times..
reread..
thought hmm.. that's not exactly right..
put it in the place were post go to die..
aka my draft box
(seriously if a post goes they I can hear it scream PLEASE NO JUST POST ME YOU WILL OVER THINK ME AND THEN DELETE ME!!!!! Which is totally true..)

I started blogging..
because I was dealing with a lot of negativity...
I was being negative..
I was dwelling on lies and not the truth..
Some one very gently and lovingly,
told me
that it was because I wasn't grateful..

Gratefulness was something I thought I didn't have a problem with..
But as it was bought to my attention..
I realized that finding the negatives all the time..
was really saying
"God, this isn't good enough."
"This circumstance isn't what I want, your grace is not enough."
I thought I was in the right,
complaining about situations that were wrong..
I thought I was fighting for JUSTICE for me..
Instead I was wallowing in ingratitude...

The verse on my sidebar..
convicted me..
I need to focus on the good things..
The things that He has provided..
The grace that He gives..
Holding on to truth's
that are like that Spoonful of Sugar..
that helps a rough circumstance easier..

Because the truth is..
God is enough...
His Grace is sufficient..
And I am blessed..

So sometimes there are silly stories..
Random posts..
And my ..um.. interesting sense of humor..
(If the posts I post make my cut can you even imagine what is in my Draft box?)
(scary)
But it's always me trying to hold on to the truth..
of what is good..
The ONE who  is worthy of praise..

  1. First of all I am a MAJORLY indecisive over-thinker. It's like a sickness. haha Secondly what a lovely reason to start blogging. I started because I enjoy writing and sharing photos in this format. But I've totally looked back at past posts and realize "Wow, I over-reacted." or "I'm glad things worked out the way that did." It's so nice to be able to look back and find God in a post!
    Happy blogging!
