I remember when I was little..
My parent's saying the famous words
"There are children in another country who would be happy to have what you have."
As I thought to myself, I would be happy to ship my dinner to them..
Hey, I would even throw in some extra vegetables..
That would really make their day..
I didn't understand..
I had never gone with out..
I had never gone to bed with an empty belly..
I even remember thinking..
I will never say that to my children..
And then..
On a Mission's trip..
In the midst of gorgeous beaches..
and beautiful resorts...
There are people who are so excited over receiving bags of rice..
and toothbrushes..
I saw first hand that there are people..
who would be happy to have..
what we so often waste...
What we take for granted...
But even more than that..
what they need more than a bag of rice..
is the knowledge of a Saviour..
who can heal brokenness..
restore homes...
give Hope..
How often do I take that precious knowledge for granted.
That people
would be happy to have
mercy.love,forgiveness,hope, SALVATION
what I have..
would be happy to have
mercy.love,forgiveness,hope, SALVATION
what I have..
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7
