Let me just say
I struggled with this one
I had a tough time figuring what to write about ..
Everything I wrote sounded like I was writing a personal ad..
I like baking and long walks on the beach
(neither of which are true.)
(Baking frustrates me)
(and I fear the beach)
But luckily,
before I started talking about Pina Coladas and walks in the rain
my husband walked in
and wrote the following:
The thing about my wife Kara is this,
she doesn't have it altogether.
Normally that would be an insult and you would imagine a disheveled woman
running around with a pen behind her ear and her dress stuck in her panty hose.
(if you know Kara, you know that's NOT HER AT ALL)
Kara knows and embraces the fact that JESUS isn't done with her yet.
She doesn't fake it. She doesn't pretend to be someone she is not.
She is an AWESOME MOM, but she knows there is room to grow.
She is an AWESOME MOM, but she knows there is room to grow.
She is an AWESOME WIFE, but she is a rare woman who works hard everyday to get better.
She is wonderful with guests in her home and she stretches her lifestyle to accommodate.
BUT she knows she isn't complete.
She knows Jesus isn't finished with her yet.
While I think she has done pretty well for herself at the age of 27,
she still sees the future more brightly than any person I know.
She DREAMS big for GOD & our church Granite United.
She DREAMS big for our children, Gibson, Aria, & Jackson.
She DREAMS big for our marriage & our home.
She isn't there yet, but she's perfect. That's what makes my WIFE- Kara Faith is UNIQUE
.
PS: Plus I think she is hilarious & a great writer...
Even though, I felt like Court writing the above
was cheating..
And lets be honest,
He is way to sweet to me.
Sometimes we don't see ourselves clearly.
We get caught up..
in what we don't like..
The things we wish we could change..
And instead of rejoicing in who God made us..
So having someone who loves you..
Tell you what they admire..
Can be a good thing.
And besides, other than deciding to follow Jesus with my life.
Marrying Court was the best decision I have made..
To see more Project 31 participants (who probably didn't have to cheat and have their husbands write for them) go here
I think it is awesome that your husband wrote this post for you....i don't think it's cheating at all. I think it is really sweet!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, so super adorable. That was so sweet of him, and speaks of your love in volumes... Which really does tell us so much about you!
ReplyDeleteP.s. My hubby wrote for my blog today, but not my project 31 post. His post is the one before that ;)
Oh... that's just so sweet. I wish my boyfriend will write something like that for me :)

I loved this! Such an awesome post. :)
ReplyDeleteWHat a great spin on this one! I think that makes this even more special that your guy stepped in and shared his thoughts of you. Beautiful and kuddos to him for being so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your husband and I love that name, Court! Anyways, I am coming up on that post so not sure how I will handle it. Something I heard once that helped me is to have confident humility. To know that who you are is because of God, gifts, things we were given mostly..so we can be proud of who God made us because we had so little to do with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to get a man to write blogs for me! haha This was great, and I really struggled with mine too.
ReplyDeleteI love how in love you and your hubby are! I love seeing happily married couples who love Jesus. : )
ReplyDeleteI love it! How sweet is your hubby???
ReplyDeleteOh that is so sweet! I love that he wrote all that about you!!! Such a great idea to post that! You are indeed BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeletei was thinking the same thing... i felt like i was posting something for eharmony... lol
ReplyDeleteI think you are a great and funny writer too. keep it up!
