Your mark..

"You may never know what your mark may be." - Andy Stanley

There was not a dry eye in that arena.
Every one..
Tough guys, boy musicians in girl pants, old men, young women, Yankees fans, red sox fans
EVERY ONE...
Had tears.
It was a moment when a young man from Africa
who said he should have been dead..
Would have been dead..
if not for a young man who sponsored him through compassion international..
Who not only sponsored him but wrote to him about Jesus...
Met his sponsor..
The emotion was high..
There was a great feeling in the room..
But the whole time I was feeling something different..
The moment was wonderful,
but I felt a tugging on my heart so strong I actually physically feel it.
Sponsoring a child was great but I felt a tugging for something more.
A tugging that I had felt before, but never with such intensity..
A tugging to adopt..

As everyone settled down from the emotional reunion...
There were tears in my eyes for another reason..
And then through my blurry vision I saw the focus of the conference change from sponsoring a child to adopting.

Then one man said this:
"Because if they don't, they are not the church."
A few seconds on a video, but it made a mark.
It made me think of this verse

James 1:27

27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Not everyone has that tugging,Not everyone should adopt. But every Christian should do something. Go here to see what God may be calling you to do.
