Growing up I liked Star Trek..
Not the cool original Star Trek, so that I could get all the geeky but cool and quirky street creds.
No I liked Star Trek: Next Generation, so I can get just the geeky, wow that's lame, no street creds here.
We liked the show so much we named our car Jean-Luc De Car...
wait for it...
you will get it in a minute..
Any ways, sometimes when blogging I have to fight the urge to write this:
Space... The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission, to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no one has gone before.
And this:
Captain's log, Stardate 45047.2 - The Ion is en route to the very inhabited Market Basket system. Its location is near the territory occupied by the King of burgers. We will attempt said voyage with the accompanioment of "The children of the Holloways"
Now doesn't that make going to the grocery store so much more appealing?
What is your closet geekiness?
Oh by the way Court is so not a geek. He likes to tell people I liked Star Trek, then when I gently correct him and say Next Generation, He says "Same thing"
Gasp
It is so NOT the same thing, Court.
So not.
This post deserves a comment - shocked there wasn't one! I never could get into the OLD Star Trek - but used to watch Next Generation religiously...always knowing I would definitely do a better job on the Bridge then "Number 1".
ReplyDeleteAlthough - i have to admit that I lost interest when they went all Holodeck crazy and started doing the Western Episodes...never really bought Data as a cowboy.
